ALWINE MATTIS September 9, 1903 - September 27, 2000 Alwine Mattis passed away peacefully with her family at her side on September 27, 2000 at Donwood Manor to be with her Lord. She is survived by one son in Germany Arthur Mattis; two daughters, Frieda Schulze (Werner), Erna Epp (Rudi Oehme) eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was born in the Ukraine, September 9, 1903 and immigrated to Canada with her two daughters and niece Anita Loepp in 1950. She resided in Donwood Manor for the last 9 years. She was predeceased by her husband Robert; son Walter; two sisters, Wilhelmine Neufeld and Helene Klassen; one son-in-law Helmut Epp and one grandson Garry Epp. We would like to thank all staff at Donwood Manor for their wonderful care for our mother and oma. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 2 at 2:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy., with Pastor Albert Durksen officiating. Viewing will be at the chapel prior to the service at 1:30 p.m. Interment at Green Acres Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Donwood Manor Personal Care Home, 171 Donwood Dr., Winnipeg, MB R2G 0V9. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
