ANNE BODNER On Friday, September 29, our beloved Mother and Grandmother passed away peacefully at Oakview Extendicare. She is survived by her son Wally and wife Linda, grandchildren Chris Sopiwnyk, Jill and husband Fernand Oundjian; son Jerry and wife Edna, granddaughter Cayna-Lee and husband Chris Yarema; step-daughter Darlene and husband Terry Hawes; brothers, Paul Kasian and wife Eileen and Jarvis Kasian; sisters, Nan Yurkiw and Olga Villeneuve, as well as many nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by her parents, Nicholas and Tillie Kassian; her husband Frank in 1989 and her sister Mary Maksimchuk and brother-in-law Alex Maksimchuk. As one of Jehovahs Witnesses she was already to share with everyone her strong belief in the hope of the earth being restored to a paradise, free of sickness, sorrow and death. (Rev. 21:3,4) One of her favourite scriptures was Psalm 121:2 - "My help is from Jehovah, the Maker of heaven and earth". Everyone who came to know her over the years knew of her hospitality and generosity. Thank you to family and many friends who visited Mom through the last few years. She really appreciated the visits. The greatest joy of her life was to see her children and grandchildren walk in "the way of the truth". Our sincerest thank you to Oakview Extendicare - 3 North Nurses and staff - and especially Joan Pruden. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 4 at 7:30 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall Centre of Jehovahs Witnesses, 227 Lakewood Blvd. with Mr. Tom Didur officiating. In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donations may be made to the Worldwide Bible Education Work in care of Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, Box 4100, Halton Hills (Georgetown), Ontario L7G 4Y4.
