ANTON GASPUR (Pete the Barber) On Sunday, October 1, 2000 our beloved husband and father died as a result from a massive stroke. He leaves to mourn his passing, wife Pasqualina of 44 years; his daughter Terezija (Jeff Reid) grandchildren Bjorn and Mandolin; son Tony (Karen) grandchildren Kyle, Trevor and Jenalene; son David (Kelly) grandchildren Cory, Andrew, and Carly; his sister Mara and husband Tom Paukovic; sister-in-law Tina and husband Luigi DelGrosso; good friends Max and Una, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Anton was born in Ruma, Yugoslavia February 11, 1929. He immigrated to Canada in 1957. Dad was known as "Pete the Barber" with an established business on Portage and Valour Road. Dad enjoyed his cottage at Winnipeg Beach (especially fishing). He will be sadly missed. Our thanks to Dr. J. Swain for the excellent care of our father. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, R3B 2H8. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, October 4 at 3:00 p.m., Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Mausoleum.
