DIANA MARGARET HUMISKI With deepest sadness, our family announces the loss of our dear wife and mother Diana Margaret Humiski. She passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2000 at the Dr. Vernon Fanning Centre after a lengthy and courageous struggle with multiple sclerosis. Her grace and humour in the face of adversity was an inspiration to us all. Diana is survived by her husband, Robert; a son, James of Calgary; her father, Frank Zemianski; a brother, William Zemianski; family of Vancouver; as well as many loving nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws. She was predeceased by her mother, Ella in 1997. Diana was born in Toronto on February 28, 1951 but was raised in Winnipeg where she started her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse. After marriage to Bob in 1974, she moved to Calgary where she flourished as a devoted wife and mother. For the past seven years Diana was a resident of the Dr. Vernon Fanning Centre where she received wonderful care and support from Dr. John Gosbee, the staff and volunteers. We would especially like to acknowledge the support of her fellow residents and their families, who will forever remain a part of us. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAYS "Fish Creek Chapel", (14441 Bannister Road S.E.), on Thursday, October 5 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAYS "Fish Creek Chapel, on Friday, October 6 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Irek Bem SDS of St. Holy Spirits Catholic Church, Celebrant. Graveside Service to follow at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens.
