B. JOAN JEFFREY Peacefully, on Monday, October 2, 2000, Joan passed away at the age of 67 in her home with her loving husband by her side. Joan was predeceased by her parents, Emily and David Moffat, her brother Cyril, along with her chosen son, Barrie. Left to treasure our memories of Joan are her husband, James (Buster) and her chosen family, goddaughter Debra (Bill Hutton), Timothy (Corinne), Roberta (Paul Yanor), her grandchildren, and sister Muril Hammill (Clair), two nieces Judith Hammill and Janet (Bob Gale), along with sisters-in-law Ethel Tooth and Elsie Burron. Joan was born and raised in Winnipeg and attended Glenwood and Windsor Schools. Following her graduation, Joan went to work at Great West Life until her retirement. She will be sadly missed by her many colleagues and friends. Joan loved to travel and she especially looked forward to her winters in Arizona. Memorial service will be held Saturday, October 7, at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division, 103 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3E 2B7.
