CLARE RODGER WOOD Suddenly, on Tuesday, October 3, 2000 Clare Rodger Wood aged 66 years, beloved husband of Mabel Wood of Roland, Manitoba. Clare leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Mabel; three sons, Don and wife Lynne of Miami, MB and their children Michelle, Don, Christopher and Jacqueline; Wayne and his children Robert (Barb), Don and Angie Wood of Plum Coulee; Carl and wife Jennifer and their son Reece Wood of Morden, MB; three daughters, Connie Wood of Altona, MB; Diane Friesen and her daughters Tammy and Alexandria of Winkler; Violet and her children Eric, Amanda, Nicole and Mitchell Wood of Winkler, MB and great-grandchildren James and Richard. Also surviving is one brother Elmer and wife Beryl Wood of Edmonton, AB.; one brother-in-law Harley and June Evans. Clare will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family and by many friends and relatives. He was predeceased by his parents William and Violet Wood of Miami, MB, by one daughter Christine Elizabeth in 1958, and by three brothers Alfred in 1944, Ed in 1980, and Arthur in 1992, by mother-in-law Annie Evans in 1983, by father-in-law William Evans in1993, by brother-in-law Melvin Evans in 1994, and by one nephew Dale Evans in 1998. Funeral service will be held from the Roland United Church in Roland, MB on Friday, October 6 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Chuck Ross officiating. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Roland. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301- 352 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8.
