Born: Jul 18, 1962
Date of Passing: Oct 05, 2000
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIn Loving Memory Of TERRANCE JOHN GIBSON Those of us that loved him, were inspired by the strength and courage Terry displayed during his long and painful illness. Terry died peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital on Thursday, October 5, 2000, surrounded by those who loved him. Terry was born July 18, 1962 in Winnipeg and leaves to mourn, many, many special friends and his family; his loving sister Colleen Gibson; brothers Wade and Keith; nieces and nephews Amanda, Frankie, Kyle and Kolby; cousins Shannon and Selena Gibson; godmother Martha Langer; grandmother Ella Cadzow. A very special mention to Monika and John Norris and their children Justin and Sara. Your friendship and love was always appreciated. Deep gratitude and love to long-time, and very dear friend Donald Bradley Moyse, for all your support, care, patience and love. Terry was employed by the City of Winnipeg for 15 years in various positions, most recently the City Taxation Centre. From the time Terry was 16 years old, he was a dutiful and responsible caregiver to his family - always there when needed. Terrys other great love were his Daschunds - now all gone but always remembered: Taffy, Norton, Maize, Yentle, and Sidney - without doubt the most well-behaved dogs - ever. The following is a direct quote from Terry regarding his mother; "Remembering my best friend and mom, Elaine Cadzow. We shall finally meet again, as you were when you passed away December 30, 1978. I will be safe, back in your arms again and you will be holding me tightly, telling me that you will never stop loving me. Cremation has taken place at Terrys request and a Memorial Service - Celebrating His Life - will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. on Saturday, October 7 at 11:00 a.m. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Jose Francois for all his care and to the staff on the Palliative Care Ward (St. Boniface Hospital), especially Collette. No words can thank you enough. Thanks to all those who were with him to the end. It was Terrys express desire, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, R2L 1X3. "For what is it to die but to stand naked in the wind and to melt into the sun? And what is to cease breathing, but to free the breath from its restless tides, that it may rise and expand and seek God unencumbered? CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL in care of arrangements - 586-8044.
