Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMAURICE ROSCOE 1922 - 2000 Peacefully, at his residence on October 3, 2000, Maurice passed away at the age of 78 years. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Richard (Susan) of Ottawa, Donald of Vancouver and Michael (Veronica) of Winnipeg; his grandchildren who he adored, Robyn, Jodi, Jamison, Simon, Alanna and Melissa; his brothers, Alex, Walter and Eugene; sisters, Mae Miller and Joyce Kabez. Maurice was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Marianne; his mother Katherine and father Nicholas; three brothers, Steve, John and Raymond; three sisters, Anne Kaminski, Julia Batlowski and Martha Stupen. Maurice was born on April 16, 1922, at Melrose, Man. He proudly served as a pilot officer (Air Gunner) in the Second World War. He flew over Berlin five times and took part in flying operations on D-Day; as a result he received the Distinguished Flying Cross. Following his military career he worked for Eatons, Seaway-Midwest/Livingstone for 20 years until his retirement in 1987. Maurices hobbies include curling, camping, fishing and gardening. Maurice was a frequent and dedicated blood donor. In accordance with Maurices wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, October 7, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Bernadette Catholic Parish, 820 Cottonwood Rd., with Rev. Fr. Fred Olds presiding. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301 - 352 Donald St., Winnipeg, Man., R3B 2H8.
