WILLIAM (BILL) LEDWELL PENDERGAST At the Prince County Hospital Summerside on Wednesday, October 4, 2000, William (Bill) Ledwell Pendergast of Indian River, aged 71 years. Son of the late James (Big Jim) and Gertrude (Cullen) Pendergast; beloved husband of Barbara Ann (Sumner) (Gillespie) Pendergast; dear father of Theresa, Mary, Karen Ann (Joe Hetzel), Maureen Marie and friend Sharon Pchajek, Deborah (George Grecco) and Michael (Matti) Gillespie and grandfather of Ian and Andrew Hetzel, Paul and Bryan Gillespie, Belisi and Brandi Gillespie; brother of Edward, Patricia Stanyer, Austin, Thomas, Eugene, Fr. Arthur, Frances McSwiggan and Reginald. He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Mary Lenora Catherine Farmer of Kinkora in 1975; his sister Mary in 1936, twin infant daughters in 1953 and a son Edward Gillespie Jr. in 1998. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington for visitation on Friday, October 6, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral mass at St. Marys Church, Indian River, on Saturday, October 7, at 1:00 p.m. Interment in the Church Cemetery. If so desired, contributions may be made to the Pendergast Scholarship Fund - K.I.S.H. or the Canadian or American Cancer Society. A vigil service will be held at the funeral home, Friday, October 6, at 1:45 p.m., and the Knights of Columbus Council No.: 12465, Kensington, will hold a prayer service at 8:45 p.m. Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, P.E.I. in care of arrangements.
