WALTER "NEIL" McINTYRE It is with great sorrow and sadness that we announce the passing of Neil McIntyre, on October 5, 2000, after a courageous battle with cancer. Neil was born in Winnipeg on March 19, 1943. Neil is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Francis; son Michael (Tracy) and their sons, Donavan and Patrick; son Tim (Angeline) and their daughter Jennifer; Kevin (Kristel) and their son Tyler; daughter Tara; daughter Krista (Bob) Smith; brother Lloyd (Margaret) McIntyre; sister Marlene (Derek) Bradley; and numerous relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father Walter, mother Eva and sister Iris. Neil was dedicatedly employed at Westfair Foods for 40 years, until the onset of his illness. He thoroughly enjoyed hunting, fishing, and weekend gatherings with his friends and family. He was an enthusiastic and dedicated father who loved to watch his children play hockey and ringette. Dad, youre my special buddy, who I will sadly miss. I will always cherish our talks and the time we spent together. May you enjoy your next journey. At Neils request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life, at a memorial reception, will take place in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway, on Tuesday, October 10, between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Riverview Health Centre, 3 East, for the care and compassion they showed. In lieu of flowers, should friends desire, donations in Neils memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • I remember....quiet talks on the front steps; his laugh; him rubbing his hands together when he got excited; him sitting patiently while I played with his hair or gave him a manicure; camping with him; going to musicals; that he always tried my experimental cooking; that he never complained. I miss him every day. 10/28/2016 - Posted by: Tara Brooks (Daughter) on: Oct 28, 2016
