FRANCIS GEORGE SAVAGE Suddenly on Thursday, October 5, 2000, at his residence, Francis G. Savage, aged 72 years, beloved brother of Hazel Brunen. Memorial service conducted by the Rev. Hugo Unrah will be held on Wednesday, October 11 at 10:00 a.m. in the Sir Sam Steele Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 117, 376 Salter Street, Winnipeg followed by a reception in the Legion Hall. Internment will follow in the family plot in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Francis was born in Bowmanville, Ont., and moved to Manitoba with his family at an early age. He was employed by the City of Winnipeg for over 30 years. In his retirement Francis was very well known for his Legion and volunteer work. Predeceased by his wife Mary in 1997, his parents, Thomas and Nellie, and one brother William, Francis is survived by his brother Allan (Beryl) of Lac du Bonnet, his sisters Hazel Brunen of Eriksdale, sister-in-law Florence Savage of Winnipeg and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301 - 352 Donald Street would be appreciated. Arrangements are by: Ronald Moffit Memorial Services 1-204-856-3487
