Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM ARTHUR EVERSON It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of William Arthur (Art) Everson on Sunday, October 8, 2000 at the Victoria General Hospital, age 88. Art will be lovingly remembered by his children, son Bill (Cindy) daughter Jeanie and six grandchildren, Shaun (Diana), Chris (Leanne), Jamie, Angie, Cheryl (Don), Chauna; three great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law Margaret and Nancy, and several nieces and nephews. Art was born and raised in Fort William, where he married, had his children and developed many friendships that lasted a lifetime. Art transferred to Winnipeg in 1953 and worked 37 years for the Board of Grain Commission retiring in 1973. His greatest love was for his family, enjoying and being there for his children and grandchildren. Art was predeceased by his wife Kay in December 1999 and by both his brothers Val and Cliff. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2000 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley Street. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. also in the chapel. Interment to follow in Waverley Memorial Gardens, 1501 Waverley Street. The family is very grateful to the nurses and staff at the Victoria General Hospital for the caring attention they have given Art the last two weeks.
