Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRUTH FENTON Ruth passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 7, 2000 at the Riverview Health Centre with her family by her side. Ruth was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Winnifred Tollington; brother Herb and sister Doris. She will be lovingly remembered by her beloved husband Ted of 63 years; daughter Roslyn and her husband David Farlinger; son Rick Fenton and his wife Nancy; grandchildren, Kristin, Scott, Shannon, Tom, Tannis, Jenny and Michelle; nephew Barry Mitchell and his wife Connie and many other nieces and nephews. Ruth was born on October 22, 1909 in Winnipeg, MB. She was employed by the city of Winnipeg as a Librarian until her marriage to Ted on October 2, 1937. Ruth was an active member of the Norwood United Church and sang in the Church choir for many years. Ruth was a great homemaker and loved entertaining people; she enjoyed playing bridge with her numerous friends. The family would like to thank the kind and caring staff on CD4 of the Riverview Health Centre for the care given to Ruth. Donations in Ruths memory may be made to the Riverview Health Centre Foundation, 1 Morley Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3L 9Z9 or to the charity of ones choice. A memorial service will be held at Norwood United Church, 160 St. Marys Rd. on Wednesday, October 11 at 11:00 a.m. A private family interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens.
