ROSE MARIER (nee MALINOWSKI) Born July 13, 1931 On Sunday, October 8th, 2000, after a lengthy illness, our beloved mother and grandmother, Rose Marier has passed away. Born in the rural area of Gimli, Manitoba, July 13th, 1931. Rose was predeceased by her husband Jean Marier in 1960. She leaves to mourn her passing, three children, eldest son, Richard Marier of Sacramento, California and his two children, Amanda and Jonathan, son Dennis Marier and wife Mary, of Cochrane, Alta., and their two children, Christina and James, and daughter Christine and husband Victor Basarowich of Winnipeg. Rose was a courageous, kind and fun loving mother and grandmother. She raised her children single handedly after being widowed at a very young age. She worked as a sewing machine operator and a supervisor in the clothing district for the majority of her years, sacrificing everything for her children. Upon her retirement she volunteered at the cancer foundation. Rose was an extremely talented gardener and took great pride in her floral displays at her childrens homes as well. Her greatest joy were her grandchildren, which she was devoted to and provided her with a constant happiness in her latter years. Mom was an unselfish lady, she was much loved by all of her childrens friends, which frequented the Luxton Avenue home for a kind word or a place to stay. She was dearly loved by all who knew her and will always be remembered and missed by her children. Rest in Peace at long last, Mom. We will remember and always Love You. Cremation has already taken place, and an evening service will be held on Wednesday, October 11, at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Our heartfelt thanks to Sheila and the staff on St. Marys Ward, Holy Family Nursing Home for their unwavering support and kindness throughout the most difficult times. Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements, 586-8044
