Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGUERITE (GRETA) BURRIDGE Peacefully, on October 7, 2000, Greta passed away at Oakview Place at the age of 93. Greta was born in Crystal City, the daughter of Harry and Eva England. She was predeceased by her first husband Jack Lewis in 1980, whom she was married to for 49 years, and her second husband Stanley Burridge in 1991. She leaves to mourn her passing and to cherish her memory her daughters, Flo Peel of Qualicum Beach, BC and Jacquie Lewis of Winnipeg, as well as seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, and her sister Beatrice Cooper. Greta worked many years for Eatons mail order, where she had many life-long friends. In the 70s she had many happy years working at Highway Florists in East Kildonan. Greta was a devoted mother and grandmother and will be fondly remembered for her care and kindness to everyone. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 12 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. A reception will immediately follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gretas memory to the Alzheimer Society, 120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2.
