JEAN WILDE Peacefully, with her family visiting from Toronto and Vancouver, Jean Wilde passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2000 at The Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, in her 86th year. She will be lovingly remembered by her two sons, Gordon and Murray; daughters-in-law, Christine and Bonnie; grandson Christopher; and many nieces and nephews. Though saddened by her loss, we may now celebrate her life, and the belief that she will again reunite with her beloved husband Albert (Al) who predeceased her in May, 1965. Jean was also predeceased by her three sisters, Marion, Helen, and Florence and her two brothers, Alex and Steve. Mom was born and raised in Winnipeg where she met and married Dad, together raising their family in East Kildonan. She spent more than ten summers at YMCA Camp Stephens on the Lake of the Woods where she worked with Dad until his early passing. In 1979 Mom retired from the Winnipeg School Division #1 after close to 15 years of service. Mom loved people, and will be remembered for her quick smile and kindness for all whom she met. A feisty and determined spirit characterized her life, and we will always cherish the memories of a mother who with love, generosity, strength, and devotion, worked hard to independently support her family when times were sometimes difficult. Her sons were her pride and joy and they always came first in her heart and deeds. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff and volunteers at The Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg who made Moms daily life more comfortable and fulfilling. Farewell Mother, till we meet again. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 11 at 11:30 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. - 586 8044. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery.

Season's Greetings Mom and Dad. You're always on our minds and in our hearts. Till we meet again... your loving sons, Gordon and Murray. "Father" (A Song For Dad) https://youtu.be/Tg1vBPNOoUU "A Song That Lasts Forever" (A Song For Mom) Verse 1 There's a song that lasts forever like the waves upon the shore A melody that keeps us close to you for evermore There's a choir that's softly singing, such a peaceful lullaby We know you’re in the best of hands and there’s no need to cry Verse 2 There's a songbird whistling sweetly, graceful music to the ear As we walk along a dark and lonely path, there's nothing to fear It's a place that we all remember on a picture perfect day Eternally you’ll be right here although you're a world away Chorus Every heart has to break a little when a loved one dies A sadness felt deep within the soul, you could see it in our eyes Now we feel the pain is going to end, our weary hearts are beating strong again Verse 3 A flower in our garden will bloom each passing year It’s radiance so heavenly divine, we'll know you are near A gentle breeze caresses, a touch that heals the soul The strength to carry on each passing day as the winds grow cold Verse 4 You were a blessing to so many, you knew just what to say The memory of a special gift you shared will be here to stay One day we will be together, all our family and dear friends We will walk in the Light of God and sing the song that never ends Chorus Every heart has to break a little when a loved one dies A sadness felt deep within the soul, you could see it in our eyes Now we know the pain is going to end, our weary hearts are beating strong again Verse 5 There's a song that lasts forever like the waves upon the shore A melody that keeps us close to you for evermore There's a song that lasts forever like the sun that warms the air It will bring us peace and comfort for we know it’s a song we will share. ©2000 M.
