Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHILDA GRACE KEMP Peacefully on October 8, 2000 at the Grace General Hospital, Hilda Grace Kemp passed away, age 91 years. Hilda was born November 15, 1908 in Gladstone, Manitoba, the first child of Thomas and Anna George. She attended Gladstone Livington School and Gladstone Collegiate. Hilda later graduated from the nursing program at the Selkirk General Hospital. On July 1, 1933 at the St. James Anglican Church, Hilda married Richard Kemp and they enjoyed a good life together, always residing in the St. James area. Together with Richard and her family, she took great pleasure in travelling abroad. Her special place was the family retreat at Brereton Lake "Brihildic" which had been the Kemps summer home since the early 1950s. Hilda and Richard had one son Brian and three precious granchildren, Glenn, Blair and Trevor. Hilda was a loyal person, dedicated to her family. She had many good lifelong friends. Hilda was a woman who had a special love of learning, she attended the University of Winnipeg, and Adult Education Classes for over 20 years, including up until the spring of this year. She was a lifetime member of the St. James Anglican Church, Ladies Aid and Auxiliary and served with many charitable organizations throughout her lifetime; the Canadian Cancer Society, and 20 years with the Canadian Ostemy Association and was a member of the Canadian Club. Hilda was predeceased by her husband Richard in 1973, as well as her brothers Roy and William George. She is survived by her son Brian and partner Lorranine, grandsons, Glenn (Laura), Blair and Trevor. A special thanks to Gloria Fenske, Margaret Isaac and Grace Muir, all of whom have been most supportive. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Dr. Mould and the staff at the Grace General Hospital, Third Floor South. A memorial service will be held in Hildas memory on Wednesday, October 11, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. James Anglican Church, 195 Collegiate Street.
