Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHELEN DUECK (nee FALK) January 3, 1912 - October 7, 2000 Suddenly on October 7, 2000 at Riverview Health Centre, Helen Dueck passed away at the age of 88 years with loved ones by her side. Helen was born to Jacob and Cornelia Falk and grew up in Schoental (near Altona) Man. After her marriage to Daniel Dueck in 1931 they resided in Horndean for many years and later moved to Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her husband Daniel in 1990; sisters, Sara, Justina and brothers Henry and Peter. Her memory will be cherished by her family. She leaves to mourn her passing, daughters, Sharon and Janice Dueck, Carol (Jim) Pyper of Winnipeg; sons, Elvin of Winnipeg and Bob (Dolores) of Edmonton; one granddaughter Denise (Paul) Modahl of Fairview and four grandsons, Brad, Jason, Sherwin and Ryan Dueck of Winnipeg and three great-grandchildren, Pamela, Grant and Kristie Modahl. She is also mourned by sisters, Anna Froese, Sue (Died) Friesen, Tina Funk and Dorothy (Abe) Reimer; brother Jake Falk; sisters-in-law, Justina Falk and Dorothy Falk as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 12, 1:00 p.m. at the Bethel Mennonite Church with Pastor Ruth Boehm officiating, followed by a graveside service at the Froese Cemetery near Altona. Viewing at the church prior to the service only. If friends desire, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Wpg, Man., R3B 2H8 or to Bethel Mennonite Church, 870 Carter Ave., Wpg, Man., R2M 2E2.
