Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGARTH MARCEL TAILLIEU February 9, 1982 - October 6, 2000 Garth Taillieu, age 18 years, accidentally passed away on October 6, 2000. He leaves to mourn, his father Wilf Taillieu of Headingley and mother, Gerry May of Victoria B.C. Also left to cherish his memory are Mavis Taillieu, and brothers, Graeme and Tyler Hall. Garth will be sadly missed by his very special Aunt Georgia, Uncle Roger and cousin Heidi Taillieu, with whom he spent many happy times. His smiling face and happy demeanor will be sadly missed yet fondly remembered by his Grandfather Marcel Taillieu; Grandmother Alida Taillieu and Grandmother Joan Whyte; Uncle Howie May of Calgary; Uncle Lorne and Aunt Marilyn Christianson, and cousins Bob and Alison Reidy of Headingley. He was predeceased by his Grandfather Gerry May, Grandmother Betty May and Uncle Garth May. Garth was an extremely bright, capable and hard working young man who was always ready and willing to help. He spent his summers working for his familys construction company where he earned the love and respect of his fellow employees. He was presently enrolled at the U of M where he was doing very well and had a bright future ahead of him. Sports played a big part in Garths life, he loved his golf and rugby, and growing up in Vancouver he became an avid skier and snowboarder. While in Brentwood Collegiate, on Vancouver Island, he represented the schools rugby team in South America. Last year, he was voted MVP for the Silver Heights Collegiate rugby team and received much recognition for his playing skills. His untimely death has had a profound effect on his family and many friends. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 11 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Charles Catholic Parish, 320 St. Charles St. Pallbearers will be Steve Young, Jeff Nowatski, Bill Smith, Tyler Burton, Fred Barnes, and Christian Caron. Honorary pallbearer will be Steven Hodgkinson. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, R3C 2B7 or to a charity of your choice.
