FRANCES HARMER (nee Thorsteinson) Frances Harmer of Winnipeg, Man., died peacefully at Victoria Hospital on Saturday, October 7, 2000 at the age of 73 years. She is lovingly remembered by her three children, Wendy Doray (Ted) of Edmonton, Randy Vigfusson (Gale) of Calgary and Wilma Simpkins (Reid) of White Rock, B.C. As well, she leaves to cherish her memory, four grandchildren, Dana, Megan, Ashley and Tommy. She also leaves behind her brother Albert Thorsteinson and sisters, Rose Burdyny and Marjorie Thorsteinson. Frances was predeceased by her husband Ed Harmer; parents, Barnie and Annie Thorsteinson; brother Gordon Thorsteinson and sister Lil Johnson. Frances was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved by all who knew her. She was a member of the Fort Garry Legion #90 Ladies Auxiliary. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 10 at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 200 Dalhousie Dr., Winnipeg, Man., R3T 2Z1. Interment to follow at Lundar Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 11. Those unable to attend the Memorial Service are welcome to join the family at the cemetery. Arnason Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Epiphany Lutheran Church at the above address in Frances memory.
