Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELSA LINTOTT (nee BROMLEY) December 9, 1923 - October 9, 2000 It is with the deepest regret that we announce the passing of our dearest mother, grand-mother and great grand-mother. Mum is survived by her son James (Carolyn) daughters Carol Stoess, Jo-Ann Lintott and Kathryn Turenne (Michel) her beloved grandsons Kurt Stoess (Evelyn, and daughters Hilary and Sarah), Sheldon Stoess (Enza), Jean-Marc and Daniel Turenne and her precious great-granddaughter Brianna Stoess. Elsa is also survived by her brother Jack and many other relatives in England and Canada. She was pre-deceased by her husband Ernest in 1985 and by her son-in-law Philip Stoess in 1986. Mum was born in Workington, Cumberland, England. While serving with the Civil Defence in Liverpool and London Mum met Dad who was serving in the Canadian Army. They were married on October 3, 1946 and Mum came to Canada as a war bride in December 1946. After a brief period in Vancouver,B.C. and Carberry, MB Mum and Dad moved to Winnipeg where they were long time residents of Kings Park. Mum worked for many years at the University of Manitoba and at the Victoria General Hospital. Mum`s life was devoted to her family. She was a talented artist and crafter and many of her pieces grace the homes of family and friends across the world. She was also a long time volunteer with the Victoria Guild and was involved with organizations such as the War Brides, Manitoba Antique Car Club and Girl Guides of Canada. The family wishes to thank Pat, Marie, Alma, Vivien and Doris for their long time friendship. It meant a lot to our mother. Thank you also to the staff of the Victoria General Hospital, Unit Three Medical, for their excellent care. Special thanks to nurses Ivy, Marion, Celia and Kristen. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Friday, October 13 at 1 :00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley Street.
