ELLA LAURA LEITER On Monday evening October 9, 2000 Ella Leiter passed away at Oakview Place at the age of 86. Ella was predeceased by her husband Edward (Ted) in 1994. She will be sadly missed by her children, Bob (Judy), Carol (Wayne), Larry (Debbie), Charlene (Ross), six grandchildren; one great grandchild; sister Reta; sister-in-law Irene and numerous nieces and nephews. Ella was a devoted mother spending her early years having and caring for her children, and as they grew older she looked forward to giving her time to her grandchildren. She enjoyed their company and they kept her young at heart. As Ella and Ted reached their golden years they enjoyed traveling in particular with her sister and brother-in-law to Hawaii, and Las Vegas. When Ella and Ted became a little less mobile, they enjoyed their weekend junkettes to the Shooting Star Casino. In the later years of their marriage moms job became looking after her husband, Ted, of 55 years, giving care and making the last few years of his life as peaceful and enjoyable as possible. Memorial service for Ella will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 12, at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Interment and a reception will follow.
