BILLIE GEDDES It is with great sadness and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our mother, Billie Geddes, on October 7, 2000 at the Swan Valley Hospital, at the age of 79 years. Billie will be remembered by son Bob (Louise), daughter Cindi (Howard) Krisjansson; grandchildren, Jason (Tanis), Melanie, Kalvin, Daniel, and great-grandson Joey. She was predeceased by her husband Percy, and daughter Gaylene and her sister Inez Mault. Left to mourn is her brother Wally (Nettie) Wolpert of Vernon, and her sister Beryl Clement of Winnipeg, also numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was born and spent most of her adult life in Swan River. She worked for many years at the Crescent Creamery and later the Co-op Creamery where she retired in 1983. Mom and dad spent their retirement winter years in Victoria. Mom was a devoted wife, mother and wonderful grandmother. She loved baking for her family, having coffee with her friends and in her younger years she curled. She will be sadly missed by all. Many thanks to the wonderful staff of Swan River Hospital, her doctor, Dr. Theo Marx, and the kindness and caring of neighbours John and Leona Banman and nieces Linda, Bonnie and Pat, and many dear friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 12, 2000, from the St. Andrews United Church in Swan River, with Reverend David Illman-White officiating. Interment will follow at the Birchwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Movement Centre of Manitoba Inc. 148 Redview Dr., Winnipeg, Manitoba R3N 3C8, or to the charity of ones choice. Arrangements are entrusted to Swan Valley Funeral Services Ltd. Swan River, Manitoba. 734-5775.
