Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANASTASIA KUCHAR May 12, 1925 - October 8, 2000 Peacefully and with dignity, in the arms of her children, our mother passed away at the age of 75. Anastasia leaves to cherish her memory her children Ramona (Dennis) Wishnowski, Pat (Ryan) Sasaki, Ihor and Jane; her grandchildren Laura (Ron), Darryl (Angela) and Sherry (Stacey), Nicole and Stacey who she lovingly referred to as "my girls"; Brenna, her great-granddaughter who gave her special joy. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Konstantyn in 1987. Anastasia was born in selo Holhory, povit, Zolochiw, Ukraine and immigrated with her husband to Canada in 1948. Her special talent for sewing allowed her to be employed in the garment industry until her retirement in 1986. She was an excellent seamstress and was always willing and happy to create outfits for her daughters and granddaughters, which we wore with pride. Our mother enjoyed and welcomed all to her home. Her love of cooking, especially ethnic dishes had many attesting that they were "the best they ever had." She taught her children the importance of our Ukrainian heritage and made family celebrations such as Ukrainian Christmas and Easter very special and meaningful in our lives. In our hearts we shall cherish her memory and the fond remembrances of her warm and generous nature, her sense of humour and above all, her courage she showed during her illness. Prayers will be sung 7:00 p.m. Wednesday (tonight), October 11 at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral, 115 McGregor St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 12, also at the Cathedral. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made to Manitoba Cancer Society or to a charity of ones choice. VICHNAYA PAMYAT KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 956-2193
