Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM (BILL) ROSIN 1914 - 2000 Peacefully and quietly, on Monday, October 9, 2000, surrounded by his loving family, William Rosin passed away into a life free of pain. William was born in Winnipeg on June 24, 1914, the eldest son of Gustave and Wilhelmina Rosin, and spent his entire life in Winnipeg. He was employed as a bus driver with Winnipeg Transit for 30 years. He was a pioneer member of Grace Lutheran Church. He served in the Second World War from 1943 to 1945 and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 81. William is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Betty Jean; his three daughters and their husbands, Shirley Van Der Tol (John) and Beverley Horst (Brian) of Winnipeg and Paula Clarke (Bob) of Oakbank, Man., as well as seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. William is also survived by his three sisters, Frieda Jensen Elsie Smeall (Ogle) and Evelyn Doerkson (Harry) his sisters-in-law, Ruth and Yvonne Rosin, Vicki Mackew and Toini and Doreen Pastula and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Donna in infancy; his parents and his brothers, Paul, Herman, Arthur and Carl. The memorial service and celebration of Williams life will be held on Saturday, October 14, at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 211 Kimberly Ave., with Pastor Bruce Gelhorn officiating.
