THOMAS (TOM) GILLIS After a short illness, on Wednesday, October 11, 2000 at the Selkirk General Hospital, Tom Gillis, aged 59 years of Selkirk, MB. Tom leaves to cherish his memory his wife Pat (Yvonne) and children, Kurt (Olive) and Leanne (Don) grandchildren, Krista, Joshua, Tanner and Karley; sister Patricia (George) Aitken; brothers, Donald and Greg; special friends, Moe and John Therrien and Richard Pinder; along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. At Toms request cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 13 at 2:00 p.m. in the Sagkeeng Christian Fellowship, Fort Alexander, MB, with Pastor Lloyd Guimond presiding. Interment will be held at a later date in Nova Scotia. A special thank you to Pats sisters, Mimi, Bugsy and Noreen for all their care and support and to the nurses at the Selkirk General Hospital for all their compassion shown to Tom. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Manitoba Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation, 100 Olivia St., Winnipeg, MB, R3E 9Z9 or to the charity of ones choice.
