Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryS. GLOVER ANDERSON On October 10, 2000 surrounded by his family S. Glover Anderson passed on peacefully. Glover was born in Winnipeg to Sam and Maude Anderson on July 18, 1926 and was raised on Lipton Street. He graduated from the University of Manitoba as an Electrical Engineer in 1949. The Manitoba Telephone System employed him until 1986 when he retired as Executive Vice-President. During his 38 year career he was involved in many areas of the telecommunication industry and has served in numerous capacities such as Chairman of Manitoba Data Services. In 1952 he married Shirley Christie and they enjoyed 47 wonderful years together. Glover had a very strong commitment to family; with Shirley he created a second home on Lake of the Woods where beautiful times with his family were spent. His family includes daughter Lee, husband Wayne Kear, their children Jennifer, Colleen, and Brittany; son Alan Glover (passed on) son Garth, wife Andrea, their children Tyler and Brooke; son John; daughter Wendy, husband John Basic, their son Matthew. Glover took a strong interest in all activities of his children and grandchildren. These activities included many different sports and community activities such as hockey where he was an enthusiastic viewer and a Home and School Program where he has served as President. Glover, with his wife, travelled the world with his career and during retirement his sense of adventure inspired the creation of "Scatterpegs", a group of friends that continued to travel to many exotic lands. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Friday, October 13, at 10:00 a.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley Street. Glover was a dedicated, life-long member of the First Church of Christ Scientist. His study brought him close to God and you could see this by the exemplary life he led.
