Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCONSTANCE M. SOUTER (nee TIPPEN) Peacefully on Saturday, October 7, 2000 at Grace Hospital, Winnipeg, Connie Souter fell asleep in death at the age of 91. Connie will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her children, Bruce (Joyce) of Montreal, Brian (Ollie) and Barbara (Ken) Sallows, all of Winnipeg; her granddaughter Shannon of Montreal, as well as her brother Fred (Mildred) Tippen of Winnipeg, also her niece and nephews. Connie was predeceased by her husband George in 1987 and her sister Evelyn Calsbeck in 1998. As one of Jehovahs Witnesses, she shared the hope of the resurrection to a Paradise earth under Gods Kingdom by Christ Jesus. While advancing years restricted her spiritual activities, she never lost her hospitable, generous spirit. Fellow members of the Silver Heights congregation always enjoyed the coffee breaks at Connies. An employee of Eatons for more than 50 years, Connie touched the hearts of many people, both co-workers and customers. As a supportive and loving mother, Connie always put her familys interests above her own. By her constant encouragement and praise, she made it easier for her children to face the world. Also, we will remember fondly her tradition of roast beef and apple pie for Sunday dinner. Other activities that she enjoyed were crocheting, knitting and playing the piano. Not to be forgotten was her love of Bridge, which she enjoyed until very recently. A memorial service will be held Friday, October 13 at 7:30 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall Centre of Jehovahs Witnesses, 227 Lakewood Blvd., Paul Vouk officiating. Private interment at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family would like to give special thanks to the caring staff from Homecare, especially Alicia, Heather, Bonnie, Marlene, Myrna and Rachel, also the VON nurses and Dr. Borrett.
