AMY SHERIDAN (nee RAYNER) Peacefully, on Sunday, October 8, 2000, Amy Sheridan, age 96 passed away at the "Valentine House" Silver End, Essex England. Over the last forty years Amy was a frequent visitor to Winnipeg as 4 of 5 sons had emigrated here. Amy, born September 7, 1904, in Oldham, Lancashire married Vincent Sheridan in 1929 and they moved to Essex and raised five sons, Peter, Brian, Michael, John and Richard. Amy was predeceased by her husband Vince in 1985; her brother Harry Rayner in February 2000 and sister Nellie Waite in 1989. Her sister Lizzie in 1893 and her sister Hilda in 1912. She leaves to mourn her five sons and their wives, 18 grandchildren, their spouses and 16 great-grandchildren, and in Australia, Amys nephew, Colin, Wife Rae and their sons, Damien and Jason. Funeral Service is at St. Marys Catholic Church in Silver End, Essex England on Friday, October 13 with burial to follow. Over her lifetime Amy endeared herself to all who met her. She was a kind and gentle soul, and was best known for her very entertaining piano style. She will be very much missed by us all.
