Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryESTHER MARK Memorial Service 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 14, 2000 Pastor Wing Hei Mak officiating Chinese United Church 281 Pacific Avenue After a short illness, Esther Mark peacefully passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2000. Esther was born on December 3, 1913 in Victoria, B.C. Predeceased by her husband Roy. Brothers: Steven, Ira and Roy. Sister Dorcas Farn. Son-in-law Dr. Peter D. Pan. Brother-in-law George Eng. She will be sadly missed by her children: Dr. Richard Mark (Paulina), Brenda Pan, Sheila Mark, Howard Mark (Brenda). Grandchildren: Laurie Benz (Thomas), Jeffrey Mark, Susan Der (Danny), Michael Mark (Jennie), Wendy Barbon (Nino), Stephen Pan (Teresa), Christine Pan (Loring Holdal), Kevin and Ryan Mark. Great-grandchildren: Michael and Katy Der, Alexandra, Nathanael and Zachary Benz, Enrico, Santino and Lina Barbon, Cole Mark. Brothers, Philip (Leah), Allan (Jessie), Dr. Hsin Kan (Alice), Herby (Joyce) and Paul (Betty). Sisters; Mabel Eng and Gladys Chong (Raymond). Sisters-in-law: Audrey and Susan Chan. Brother-in-law Isaac Gin Farn. After Roy passed away, Esther helped manage the Exchange Cafe. She was active in the Chinese community as well as the Chinese United Church, where she sang in the choir and played the piano. Her interest included swimming, tai-chi and knitting. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the many friends for their support and love during Esthers illness. Special thanks to Dr. Alexander Pan, Dr. A.W. Maksymiuk, CancerCare, Home Care and the Health Sciences Centre GD4 staff. As per Esthers request, flowers are gratefully declined.
