RICHARD HOWARD DUNNING June 12, 1937 - October 12, 2000 After a courageous battle with cancer Richard quietly passed away October 12, 2000 at Seven Oaks Hospital surrounded by family. Left behind to Cherish Richards memory is his mother Beatrice Dunning; brothers Herb (June), John (Lena) sisters Sally (Ray) Moorehouse, Jean Cummings, Karen (Neill) Matthews, Fern (Larry) Pestaluky, Bonnie (Mike) Gertner, and Sherry (Dominique) Makar. He also leaves to mourn many nephews and nieces. Richard was predeceased by his father Samuel Dunning; brother-in-law Richard Cummings and nephew Michael Gertner. Richard had a special place in his heart for animals, especially birds. He was an active member of the Purple Martin Bird Club. He will always be remembered for his love of hunting and fishing. At Richards request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, October 16 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Interment and a reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, should friends so desire, donations may be made to Cancer Care Manitoba, P.O. Box 2248 Station Main, Winnipeg, Man., R3C 9Z9.
