MICHAEL SKOMOROH In loving memory of Michael Skomoroh, age 86 of Dryden, who passed away on October 11, 2000 in Dryden, Ont. Michael was born on March 13, 1914 in Hamrlick, Man. He moved to Dryden, Ont., in 1941 and worked as a truck driver for the Dryden Paper Co. In 1945, he and his wife Pauline opened "Skomoroh Motors" and he operated the gas pumps and the garage. His family carried on with the business after his retirement. In his early years, Michael enjoyed hunting and fishing and motorsports which he shared with his sons and grandchildren. He enjoyed gardening and his yard while his health permitted. He also enjoyed visiting with his family and the many friends that he made during his years in business. Michael is survived by his wife of 66 years, Pauline; his sons, Ed (Jean) Skomoroh of Minneapolis, Don (Joyce) Skomoroh of Dryden; brother Fred Skomoroh of Dryden, Walter Skomoroh of Winnipeg; special step-sister and brother, Antonia Kohut of Winnipeg and Fred Skrabek of Winnipeg; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Michael was predeceased by his mother Kathryn in 1935; father John in 1969; brother Harry in 1974; step-mother Telka in 1981 and brotherGeorge in 1996. A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 15 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with prayers being offered at 7:00 p.m. at the Dryden Community Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 16 at 11:00 a.m. at the Dryden Community Funeral Home, with Rev. Father Luigi Filippini officiating. Interment will follow at the Dryden Cemetery. Should friends so desire, donations may be made to Dryden Hospital Equipment Fund or to a charity of your choice through the Dryden Community Funeral Home, 249 Grand Trunk Ave., Dryden, Ont., P8N 2X3.
