LEOPOLD HENRI GERVAIS On October 12, 2000 at the Pine Falls Health Complex, Leo, beloved husband of Delina ( nee Lavoie) of 58 years, passed away at the age of 85. He is survived by his loving children Paul (Lorraine) of Winnipeg, Germaine Herie of Thalberg, Della Vincent of Winnipeg, Armand (Marianne) of Powerview, Lea (Don Pochinko) of Escondido, California, and Helene of Winnipeg. He also leaves sister Albertine Charbonneau, brother Oliver and 18 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Ernest Gervais, mother Rosanna Grandbois, four brothers, and six sisters, son-in-law Joe Herie and grandson Gerald Vincent. Leo was born November 6, 1914 in Wild Rice, North Dakota. His family then moved to St. Eustach, Man. at an early age. He was married in 1942, in Powerview. He also worked at Abitibi Price Inc. for 34 years. He served as a school trustee in Powerview as well as being an active member of the Knights of Columbus. Funeral Liturgy will be held on Monday October 16, at Notre Dame Du Laus Roman Catholic Church, Powerview, Man., at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Fr. Rene Chartier officiating. Friends may pay their respects at the church one half hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers if friends so desire memorial donations may be made to a charity of ones choice in his memory.
