Glen was born at home in Lyleton, Mb., on September 9, 1930. After completing high school he worked in the oil fields and then joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1950. During his career in the service the family moved to many provinces and his work took him to different countries which gave him his thirst for travel. After retirement from the Forces in 1970 the family returned to its Manitoba roots and Glen became a teacher at Sturgeon Creek Vocational School. In 1981 Glen married Mavis and they enjoyed many years of hosting family get-togethers, attending plays and travelling. The passing of his beloved wife left a void in his life during his retired years. He continued to travel, read and enjoyed many card games with family and friends. Mr Richardson was my teacher of electronics back in 87 and 88 at Sturgeon Creek. He remains my favorite teacher to this day. His guidance helped me onto my career in electronics. He was a friend in the class and on the football field. He will be missed. - Posted by: Rick Strickland (Former student) on: Dec 13, 2014
