VALERIE JOAN LECLERC (nee SCHWAB) On Saturday, October 14, 2000, Valerie Leclerc, aged 60 years passed away at St. Boniface Hospital. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Armand and sons Richard and daughter-in-law Colleen, Roger, Darren and daughter-in-law Crystal; her brother Arnold and wife Phyllis. Also left to mourn are numerous family and friends, her cousin Irene and husband Jim, special friends Janet and Abe Hiebert, Audrey and Ray Pelletier and Audree and Wayne Riley. She was predeceased by her mother Susanna Schwab in 1992. Valerie was born in Winnipeg on August 28, 1940. After she finished her education she went to work at Eatons until she left to raise her children. She then worked at St. Boniface Hospital for several years, the CIBC for 19 years and was presently employed with The International Inn. While raising her family she spent many hours volunteering at their elementary school and was involved in community activities. Valerie had an outgoing personality and loved travelling and family gatherings. She was well liked in the community she spent most of her life in. She was an animal lover and especially loved her cats. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 19, at 7:00 p.m. in the Christ Lutheran Church at Inkster at Sinclair, with viewing one half hour prior. Pastor Don Engel officiating. Cremation will follow with the interment of cremains on Friday, October 20, at 3:30 p.m. in the family plot at Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers are, Jamie Hercun, Jason Frovich, James Frovich, Alan Mitchell, Kevin MacKinnon, Doug MacCallum. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Janine and Bill Frovich and Rose and Vic Hercun for all their love and support during Valeries brief illness. We would also like to thank Darlene and Lorraine from the International Inn for their help and the Nurses/Staff at St. Boniface MCIU and 5th floor B wing for all their help and care of her.
