DENIS HENRIE Denis R. Henrie, born November 6, 1923 in La Broquerie, MB, passed away suddenly in Winnipeg, MB, on Friday, October 13, 2000. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, May; children, Denise, Lorne, Pat, Clarence, Dianne and Patrick; granddaughters, Lindsay and Erin; sisters, Cam, Rita and Claudette; brothers, Lionel and Fred as well as numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, special friends, and neighbours. Denis was a veteran of the Second World War. He was a 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus, St. James Council #4557 and the Miles MacDonnell Assembly. He was a member of the Fort Garry Horse Association. Denis will be remembered for his generous and helpful spirit. A Memorial Mass will be Celebrated on Tuesday, October 17 at 11:00 a.m., in the John XXIII Roman Catholic Church - Assiniboia Christian Centre, 3390 Portage Ave., at Rouge Road with Rev. Msgr. Norman J. Chartrand P.A., presiding and Msgr. Stan Jaworski, Msgr. Louis J. McCloskey and Rev. Fr. R. Glofcheski, concelebrants. A private family interment will be held in the St. Charles Roman Catholic Parish Cemetery, 320 St. Charles St., Winnipeg, MB. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made in Denis memory to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8.
