MURIEL "MICKEY" EDITH McLENNAN (HARRON) (nee McDONALD) Mickey was born Sunday, November 10, 1918 in Winnipeg. She lived in Winnipeg for most of her life, spending the last 3 years in The Pas. After Mickey married E.C. Bruce Harron, they lived in numerous small towns throughout Manitoba and Saskatchewan during Bruces work as a railroad station agent. Together they had three children. Later Mickey married Grayson (Mac) McLennan. Mickey always enjoyed travel, having made trips to Hawaii, Mexico and California. She was well known for her special wit and entertained everyone with her sense of humour. Her pleasure in life in the last few years included spending time with family and friends as well as listening to Roger Whitaker tapes. Mickey also leaves behind her special feathered friend, "Tweety Bird". Mickey passed away peacefully, Monday, October 16, 2000 at St. Anthonys Hospital, The Pas, age 81 years. She is survived by her daughter, Alice (Robert) Spence, The Pas; son Glenn (Dayle) Harron, Winnipeg; son David (Twyla) Harron, Winnipeg; grandchildren, Jeff (Kathy) Spence, Ryan Spence, Kelly Spence, Allison Harron, Sean Harron, Cory Harron, Jocelyn Harron, James Harron and Gregory Harron; sister Norma Whitehead, Langley, British Columbia; brother Walter McDonald, Winnipeg and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Mickey was predeceased by her first husband E.C. Bruce Harron (1966) second husband Grayson "Mac" McLennan (1980) father Walter McDonald (1944) mother Noreen McDonald (1972) and sister Verna Hartz (1997). A Funeral Service was held Wednesday, October 18, 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Hemauer Funeral, The Pas, Man., with Rev. Keith Lyons presiding. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, October 20, 11:00 a.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, Winnipeg, Man., with Rev. Jeff Cook presiding. Interment will take place in St. Vital Cemetery, Winnipeg, Man. Honorary pallbearers: Dan and Claudia Butler, Roseanne Plesh, Walter McDonald and all Mickeys friends.
