Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRANCES VICTORIA MITCHELL Suddenly on October 14, 2000 Frances Victoria Mitchell passed away at Grace General Hospital at the age of 81 years. Left to treasure her memory, are her niece Carol (Mike) Mozol, her great nieces Ashley, Laura and numerous friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Elizabeth, brother Bill and sister Jean Bayley and her husband Jim. Born and resided in Winnipeg her entire life, Frances joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1939, became a Sgt. and a member of the C.W.A.Cs until the year 1945 and has remained an active member of the Legion No. 215 on Henderson Highway. She started working for Winnipeg Electric in 1946 and remained with them for 38 years until her retirement in 1984 from now, Centra Gas. Frances was an active member of St. Andrews Anglican Church, serving as a Layminister, President of the Altar Guild, President of ACW and numerous other volunteer capacities, especially with friend Linda, until her passing. Frances also enjoyed her time spent with her quilting and mall walking friends. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 19 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Andrews Anglican Church, 2700 Portage Ave. with The Rev. Ian Mills officiating. Special thanks to the staff at Grace General Hospital, 5-N, Occupational Therapy and other support staff.
