KEITH GILBERT ERLING ANTONSEN It is with great sadness that the family of Keith Antonsen advises of his sudden passing with courage and dignity, of complications with treatment of cancer, at St. Boniface General Hospital on October 13, 2000, at the age of 54. He will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered by his loving wife Vera; his children, Melissa Antonsen of Wolfville, N.S., Corri Kazakoff of Penticton, B.C., Jarrett Kazakoff of Prince George, B.C.; his sister Shirley Audrain and her husband Ken of Westbank, B.C., and his brother Philip Antonsen and his wife Wendy of Uxbridge, Ont., and nieces, Leslie Zambri of Uxbridge, Christine Murphy of Ajax, Ont., Heather Burchill of Dartmouth, N.S., Donna Brunell of Effort, P.A., and Allison Schmidt of Winnipeg, Man. He will be deeply missed by Sister Dorothy Levandosky of Calgary, Alta., and Joe and Yvette Lecuyer of Ste. Agathe, Man. He will be also remembered by his extended family in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba (Sprague, Stonewall, Marquette and Winnipeg), Ontario, Minnesota (Warroad and Minneapolis) as well as several other states in the U.S.A. He will also be fondly remembered by his many friends in Ste. Agathe and Winnipeg as well as his friends and business associates at MSA Canada and throughout the safety community throughout Canada. Keith was born in Dryden, Ont., and grew up in Sprague, Man., The Pas, Man., Winnipeg, Man., and Sioux Lookout, Ont. Keith worked his entire career in the safety industry - WCB of Manitoba, Brandon College, Safety Supply Co. and most recently at MSA Canada Inc. He was continuously involved with activities in the safety and fire fighting communities as well as Search and Rescue in Penticton, B.C. He always fondly remembered his many happy times at the fire fighters rodeos, mine rescue events and search and rescue events. Cremation has taken place. It was Keiths wish that there be no funeral or memorial service. He wanted everyone to remember him as they last saw him. He was a devoted husband and father, a man of high personal integrity; had a sometimes warped sense of humour (Enjoy your pool cue Art), endless courage and a strong sense of community. The family wishes to thank the staff of the ICU at St. Boniface Hospital, Drs. Stuart Rosser and Claire Ramsay and most particularly nurse Marcel Prairie. Marcel, you deeply touched all of our family with your care, dignity and profound sense of compassion. In lieu of flowers it was Keiths wish that you consider donations to the Fire Fighters Burn Fund in care of the Health Sciences Centre, 820 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, Man., R3A 1R9. Rest in peace, my friend.

Uncle Keith loved his daughter Melissa profoundly. When she arrived out east, he called ahead and made sure that she would be loved and cared for. He would not get off the phone until I promised that she would be safe. I thought he meant getting her to her new dorm, but it wasn't long before I understood. Within a month, he was gone. We miss you Uncle Keith. Melissa is safe, as promised. I will never forget your movie star smile. - Posted by: Heather Burchill (Niece) on: Jan 24, 2014
