Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGARNET EDWARD POST Peacefully in the early morning hours of Tuesday, October 17, 2000, with his family at his side, Dad passed away at the age of 84 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his family, Bernice and their children, Warren (Marge) Volek, Herb, Darlene (Rod) Masse, Joan (Andy) Mandziuk, Bev (Bernie) Wiens, Barry (Andrea), Wendy (Dave) Fawcett; grandchildren, Sean (Wendy), Kris (Gary), Ken, Clint (Angie), Dan, Tracy, Todd (Renee), Jackie (Murray), Kelly (Mike), Kevin, Cassie, Brad, Jenna, Taylor, Mack, Cindy (Derek) and Jenna; great-grandchildren, Josh, Jill, Corrinne, Rebecca, Tyson, Troy, Nicole, Nevada and Jody; stepsisters, Evelyn Schellenberg, Ruth Metcalfe, Audrey Grier and their respective families. Garnet was predeceased by his parents Guy and Jessie Post; stepfather Edward Jack; brother Warren; sons, Wayne, Blaine, Cal and grandson Cameron. Dad was born and raised in Woodmore, Man. He served overseas in the Second World War with the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps. He spent most of his life farming in the Woodmore / Dominion City area. During this time, his horse teams became his pride and joy and gave him many hours of pleasure. In the later years, he worked in Brandon and then retired to Oak Lake. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 21, at 2:00 p.m. at Greenridge United Church in Greenridge, Man. Reverend Leslie Calder will officiate. Viewing will begin at 1:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be Garnets grandchildren. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the St. Adolphe Nursing Home staff, Dr. Cam Lowden and the nursing staff of the 5th floor at the Victoria Hospital. Special thanks to Irene Park for the many coffee breaks and car rides. Should friends so desire, donations may be made in Garnets memory to a charity of ones choice.
