BRENT JOHN VISENTIN Peacefully, on October 17, 2000, surrounded by the love of his family, Brent passed away after a courageous fight against leukemia. Brent leaves a hole in the lives of his parents, Sandra and Terry Visentin; brother Joel and sister Heather, as well as his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins from Ontario. Brent was born on May 23, 1986, in Kitchener, Ontario and moved to Winnipeg in August 1989. He attended Ecole Robert Browning, Golden Gate Middle School and St. Pauls High School. Many there will remember Brents strong will, intelligence and wit - and his ability to combine these with interesting results. He loved life and craved challenges. He found these in mathematics, tennis and strategy games. He shared these with his best friends, along with many hours of Nintendo and The Simpsons. We would like to express our deep gratitude to all those that have assisted us over the last few months. Those from our church family, Westwood Presbyterian, and other friends have carried us through these dark days. Brent met many people throughout the treatment of his illness that recognized his unique spirit, strength, and intelligence. To all of you at Childrens Hospital and Cancer Care Manitoba, and in particular, Cathy, Dawn, and Jenni, we thank you for your care and your commitment to the whole person. And, there are no words to express the feelings we have for the angels that walk the halls of CK5! May God bless each and every one of you. Cremation has taken place and a service celebrating Brents life will be held on Friday, October 20, at 2:00 p.m. at Westwood Community Church, 401 Westwood Drive. Reception will follow the service at Westwood Presbyterian, 197 Browning Boulevard. An opportunity to visit with the family will be held on Thursday, October 19, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre, 4000 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Westwood Presbyterian Memorial Fund, 197 Browning Blvd, R3K 0L1 or to the Rainbow Society of Manitoba, 302 - 171 Donald Street, R3C 1M4. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
