Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHERINE FORSTER Peacefully, on Tuesday, October 17, 2000, at the Red River Place in Selkirk, Katherine Forster, aged 81 years, of Selkirk. Katherine was born on June 15, 1919 in East Selkirk, Man. She met Thomas in Timmons, Ont. in 1940 and was married there in 1941. They moved to East Selkirk in 1948 and then to Selkirk in 1957. Katherine had many interests including fishing, dressmaking, ceramics, knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, upholstering, hairdressing and cake decorating. But above all her family was number one, she was the Matriarch of the family, a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas on December 29, 1999 and sisters, Eva, Annie and Helen. Katherine leaves surviving her son Todd (Vicki) grandchildren, Tom, Kerri (Marlin), Todd (Selina) and Kerrie (Robert) great-grandchildren, Rhiann, Stephanie, Cody, Tyson, Marly, Dev, Benjamin and Jessica; sisters, Olga Typleski and Mary Morin; her half-brother John Machewski as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Family and friends may call for viewing on Friday, October 20, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 21 at 11:00 a.m. also in the Chapel with Rev. barb janes officiating. Cremation will follow service. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of the arrangements.
