HANA GRAJA It is with great sadness and loss that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved daughter and sister Hana Graja on October 18, 2000 at her home. Hana was born October 11, 1969 in the Czech Republic and at the age of twelve immigrated to Canada with her loving parents (Anna and Dennis) and younger brother (Dennis). Hana attended Dakota Collegiate High School and later earned a Bachelors Degree in Nursing from the University of Manitoba in 1992. Hana was an exceptional Nurse and person who touched many lives with her special gift in dealing with both her Clients and those others that she chose to surround herself with. Hana worked at the Misericordia General Hospital as a Surgical Nurse but quickly advanced in Nursing from Critical Care (Emergency) to her present position as a Research Coordinator at the Manitoba Clinic, Research Clinic. She had a great passion for her career and enjoyed all those that she had worked with both past and present. Hana had many hobbies and interests outside of her career as a Nurse. She was an avid world traveller and had expressed a recent interest in continuing in her piano studies. In the past, Hana enjoyed scuba diving, taking flying lessons, cooking, golfing and spending time with her family and many friends. Though Hana was taken away from us at such a young age we can rest assure that she always lived her life to the fullest, living always in the moment. Hana had a very rich and rewarding life, never wasting any time in accomplishing her dreams and aspirations. She always found time in her hectic schedule for her family and countless friends in Canada and the United States. Hana leaves to mourn her parents (Anna and Dennis) and younger brother (Dennis) here in Canada along with the countless relatives back in the Czech Republic. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thank you to all those who have called to offer support to our family in our time of loss and sorrow. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. October 21, at the Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. In lieu of flowers, the family request friends make donations in Hanas memory to the charity of your choice.
