ELIZABETH FRIESEN On Wednesday, October 18, 2000 at the St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, Elizabeth Friesen of Steinbach passed away at the age of 80 years. She leaves to cherish her memory three sons, Ken (Deanna) of Winnipeg, Edmar of Steinbach, Wes (Elaine) of Steinbach; two grandsons, Nathan (Bobbie-Jo), Scott; two sisters, Mary Ross of Winnipegosis, Winnie (John) Dyck of Lumby, BC; four brothers, Dave (Elda) Unger of Steinbach, Ben (Agnes) Unger of Steinbach, Dan (Tina) Unger of Austin, Victor (Mary) Unger of Neepawa. She was predeceased by her husband Fred in 1982; brother and sister-in-law Corny and Eliz; brother-in-law Dirk Ross; sister-in-law Annie Unger and brother Abraham in infancy. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 23 at 2:00 p.m. at the Evangelical Mennonite Church, 420 Main St., Steinbach, MB with Pastor Arden Thiessen officiating. Interment will follow in the Steinbach Memorial Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Sunday, October 22 between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m. at Loewen Funeral Chapel in Steinbach and at the church prior to the service and at Fernwood Place on Monday between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Mennonite Central Committee, 134 Plaza Dr., Winnipeg, MB, R3T 5K9.
