PAULINE ELSON Sadly, on October 19, 2000, Pauline Elson (Sawchuk), age 69, passed away peacefully at home after a courageous battle with cancer. Pauline was predeceased by her parents Demeter and Annactasia; husband Raymond; brothers, George, Nick, Pete and John; sisters, Lillian and Stella and her infant grandson Phoenix. She will be missed by her children, Tess (Tom), Angie (Tim), Dee (Vern), Jamie, Greg (Jackie), Michelle (Joe), Stacey (Doug) her grandchildren, Chris, Scott, Tyler, Jennifer, Taylor, Matthew, Lindsay, Marnie and Amy; her brother Butch (Anna) sister Annie; sister-in-law Joyce; numerous nieces, nephews, many friends and her dog and companion Ginger. The family would like to give thanks to all the hospital staff, VON nurses and homecare workers who cared for Mom. A special thanks to Shelly and Laurie. The compassion and care you showed to Mom will never be forgotten. At Moms request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Monday, October 23, at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Flowers gratefully declined; if friends so desire, donations may be made in Paulines memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, Man., R3E 0V9. When we come to the "Edge Of All The Light We Have" and we must take a step into the darkness of the unknown. We must believe in one of two things: Either we will find something firm to stand on or we will be taught to fly. Mom; we miss you, we love you You were our friend.
