JENNIE DEZALL It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jennie Dezall (nee Sladek). Jennie passed away suddenly at her home on October 19, 2000. She is predeceased by her first husband Tom Moore, daughter Charlotte and her second husband Gordon Dezall. Jennie was born in Edmonton, Alta., on December 25, 1927. She eventually settled in Gladstone, Man., with her parents Thomas and Stephania and her sister Ann. There she met her first husband Tom Moore. They had three children, Norman (Louise), Colleen and Charlotte (Herb). Jennies first husband Tom passed away suddenly in 1951. She later married Gordon Dezall and they had two children, Deborah and Jo-Anne (Darcy). She will be fondly remembered as a kind, loving and generous mother and grandmother who loved to spoil her grandchildren, Susan (Iain), Karen, Natalie, Everett, Sean, Shane and Tara. Family and friends, particularly Marcel and Dino, will miss her energetic personality and her fabulous holiday feasts. At Jennies request no formal service will be held. A reception will be held for family and friends on Monday, October 23, at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jennies name to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301 - 352 Donald St., Winnipeg, Man., R3B 2H8.
