CECILIA STEINGART On Thursday, October 19, 2000, Cecilia Steingart passed away at the Misericordia Place Personal Care Home. Cecilia was born on May 26, 1909 in Vhalania, Russia and came to Canada in 1926. She was predeceased by an infant daughter Eleanor in 1936 and by her husband Henry in 1979. Cecilia is survived by three daughters, Dorothy Matthies, Winnipeg, Marlaina Stuartt, Vancouver and Helen (John) Firmaniuk, Edmonton, nine grandchildren, Linda (Ron) Plenert, Brian Matthies, Winnipeg, David (Heather) Matthies, Calgary; Lori (Darren) Creighton, Brandon; Eric Matthies, Winnipeg; Lisa Fedorak, Leslie (John) Canaday, Vancouver, Chris (Suzanne) Firmaniuk, Terry Firmaniuk, Edmonton and seven great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Kimberly, Christine Plenert, Marina and Brennan Matthies, Anna and Justin Canaday. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 24, at 11:00 a.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Highway, Rev. J. Krause officiating. Interment at Brookside Cemetery. Viewing at the Chapel prior to the service. Flowers gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
