EVELYN SUTHERLAND (nee JACKSON) Peacefully, on Friday October 20, 2000, after a lengthy illness, Evelyn Sutherland passed away at the Winnipeg Convalescent Home at the age of 88 years. Mom leaves to mourn and cherish her memory her children, Marshall "Skip" (Bev), twins Donna Vandale (Bob) and Lynne Fraser; also 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and her lifelong friend Iris Laird of El Segundo, California. She was predeceased by two brothers, Marshall and Burnett; two sisters, Lenora and Vivian. Moms husband Donald McKenzie Sutherland of the Queens Own Cameron Highlanders predeceased her in 1971. A service of remembrance will be held on Wednesday October 25, 2000 at 12:30 p.m. in the P. Coutu Funeral Chapel at 156 Marion St. Interment will follow in the Brookside Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at the Convalescent Home for their wonderful care.
