EDNA PEARL DURNIN (nee CURTAIN) Early on Sunday, October 22, 2000 at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg, Edna Pearl Durnin passed away at the age of 79 years. She is predeceased by her husband, Calvin Norman Durnin and brothers, Alan and Melvin Curtain. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Ruby (Norm) LeBlanc and their children Ronald (Jennifer) and Shawna all of Ottawa, Ont.; son Dick (Tanis) Durnin of Strathmore, Alta., with their children Brandy Durnin of Winnipeg, Samantha Durnin of Winnipeg and Sammy Durnin of Strathmore, Alta.; daughter Debora (Blake) Lyall with their daughters Raina and Kirstin of Winnipeg; along with other relatives and good friends. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 24 at 2:00 p.m. at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel, 56 Royal Road South, Portage la Prairie, with Pastor Brian Brglez officiating. As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Ednas memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, Man., R3B 2H8 or to the Royal Canadian Legion. A tree will be planted and cared for in memory of Edna at Evergreen Memorial Gardens by McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel who are entrusted with the arrangements.
