ELSIE FUNK (nee DYCK) Peacefully after a lengthy illness, with thanksgiving we announce the passing of our Mother and Oma to eternal peace on Monday, October 23, 2000 at the Grace Hospital at the age of 89 years. She is survived by her daughter Herta Funk; son Henry Funk and wife Susan; grandchildren, Douglas and Darlene Funk of Texas, Harold and Diane Funk of Winnipeg, Jon and Rhonda Funk of Winnipeg, Karen and Bob Peters of Winnipeg; seven great-grandchildren, Kris, Nick, Harrison, Ryan, Mackenzie, Daniel and Makayla. She had been separated from her husband by the "War" in 1944. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 26 in the First Mennonite Church of Winnipeg, 922 Notre Dame Avenue. Our family would like to express a special thanks to Dr. Moran de Muller for her support, Donna Davis, chaplain and the wonderful staff on 3 North, whose loving care we deeply appreciate. Many thanks to all who prayed for us and supported us during this difficult time.
